Strokes
In this painting of Jackson Pollock shows nothing but random splash of dark and light paint. The dull colour, lack of subject makes it look uninteresting and it basically looks like a mess
Clearly, the point of the painting is nothing ,but more than anyone else knows, it shows the beauty of simplicity by just using only succeeding shades of a colour, and as we all can notice the splashes are repetitive, they are all almost the same size and length. The painting might not mean something, but by the looks of it, the paint splash symbolizes as the emotion and the struggle of the painter as he loosely create amazing paint strokes.
The whole painting, for me, looks boring ,but at the same time it is something that encourages me to like something simple even though it doesn't look like it was created with full effort, but as my interpretation to the painting, it is something similar to a forest, a dark forest that is very comforting and peaceful and somewhat creepy, and that maybe is what the artist is trying to paint that shows more of his feelings than the actual subject of the painting.
